A Blast From The Past

I know I am a San Jose Senorita. I live in California. However, I feel like reminiscing a little. This picture was taken in Cadaques, Spain in 2005. This is close to Port Lligat, which is Salvador Dali's hometown. I was here to visit his house, and I traveled alone by bus.

I lived in Barcelona, and was traveling alone. I did meet a lot of people, but they didn't have the same schedule as I. Therefore if I wanted to visit someplace, I had to do it myself. This was a peaceful day. I had a lot of fun, took pictures, ate ice cream, and chatted with a restaurant owner.

Good times.

  1. My dream is to visit Spain and drink wine with the Spaniards on the streets my great grandfather walked before he ventured onto Cuba. Beautiful picture, Chica! Thanks for sharing the moment with us.

  2. Barcelona must be a fabulous city. «Louis» has links in the right side bar of his blog to two Barcelona blogs - the images of the city are always amazing to «Louis».

  3. Wander over to «Louis'» place and read a little about crêpes... ;-)

  4. Will go to Cadaques in the spring, and will try to make the same picture, 5 years after you. Where in BCN did you live?

  6. Rob and Mandy,

When I lived in Barcelona, I moved about 7 times. I lived near Val De Hebron, as well as L'Hospitalet and also near the stop La Sagrada Familia on the metro line.

  7. Nice place, indeed. One of the not spoiled little cities on the Costa Brava. And nos so crowdy most of the time on top of that, often quiet and peaceful... Nice picture.
