Jewish Quarter, Paris France

Hello All,

I was in Paris from Sept 23-29th. I had a wonderful time.

This picture was taken in the Jewish Quarter. There is a lot of old history there, and there are plaques to that remind us of the arrests that took place here during the Holocaust.

Beautiful neighborhood, unfortunately it's in the process of gentrification. A lot of new, expensive shops are opening here, and I am not sure I like it. But it is what it is, and here is a picture of one of the older apartments with a basement. I love the tile floor.

  1. Yes, the tile floor is beautiful. It's always sad when gentrification kicks in.
The plaques among other things are a good way to remember the Holocaust. I'm glad they have them. Do you have a picture of them or rather one of them?

  2. When «Louis» lived in Paris, he lived in the 4th on rue Saint-Antoine.

You could spend a whole day photographing the many interesting doorways in Paris.
